Everybody has their own opinion of what is causing such
tremendous enthusiasm for this location. We definitely have an abundance of buyers as this has become an absolute
“destination location”. The question is
who are these buyers? There is not just
one group of buyers, but many. We have
international buyers who are purchasing properties because they know their
money is safer and a better investment here rather than anywhere else. Besides that, we have the typical owner users
who want this neighborhood and are trading up from a home less expensive or a
condominium. Then, there are also the
people who are relocating here due to business and employment.
The most significant change; however, are buyers in the technology
sector relocating here from Silicon Valley and Northern California. There are many entertainment companies and technology
startups that have attracted young people with excellent incomes to this
area. It has become an icon location to
these people. The more people move here,
the more their friends and colleagues will be attracted as well. What’s there not to like?
The “new new” is being able to walk to coffee. Many people like that idea and, as a result, many of the commercial areas nearby are being redeveloped. Have you ever seen so many boutiques and coffee houses? The alternatives are people looking to get away from the traffic, and for these people a more secluded location is desired. Whether it is a quiet, secluded location or a walking location, buyers seem to be split between the two. Some buyers will opt for a rural setting while other relocating from the big city will appreciate low density retail within a short walking distance and proximity to the metro. Buyers are plentiful with a variety of preferences, most hoping for an outdoor area to enjoy an opportunity for California lifestyle.
